Here is a brief description of my sem 7 research.
My research has been awesome. Everyday, i deal with some of the most perfume scented places and materials the world has ever seen.
A simple description of my research:
1. Toilet
2. Tryptic soy agar
3. Bacteria on tryptic soy agar
and lately..
4. Fermented tryptic soy agar.
The beauty my research is that it has shown how wonderful things have usually been in life. I now appreciate the smell of fresh air, the help and assistance i get from friends, the time i have to eat, the time i have to do nothing and the time i have to write a blog post.
Thanks to this research, i think i'm going to start becoming a more charitable person. In fact, think the next time i go to pasar malam, i'm gonna make sure i donate to the guy singing for an extra few bucks.

Law of nature vs Law of reality
The law of nature is such that all good stuff come at high prices.
The law of reality is such that even if you pay a high price, you might not get good stuff.
One example is the Apple, another example is fine dining restaurants.
But the ultimate example is being a Malaysian who isnt exactly a malaysian.

A research that i would really like to do...
Back when the list of sem 7 researches we released, i still remember quickly scanning through the whole list and i still remember keywords to some titles, such as:
1. (something)(something) nanoparticle
2. (something)(something)micro algae in treatment of (something)(something)
3. (something) cancer cell line of (something)
Everyone is currently very busy with the research they are have chosen from a list. All these are fascinating researches with potential of groundbreaking findings. But has any1 really done some soul searching to think of something they'd really wanna find out?
For me, in the midst of the hassle and hectic life of the first few weeks of semester commencement, i did a little soul searching and had some deep thought into a research that i really would like to do. Given the grant of a mere RM1000 for mileage claims and paper photostating, i would design a study to determine the correlation between the physical attraction of healthcare workers to the speed of recovery of patients in the ward.
If i managed to prove my null hypothesis (which obviously needs no explanation), then additional criterias would be needed to enter schools of health sciences. In addition to that, reshuffles in hospitals staffs would also be made and (possibly) people would wish they'd fall sick a little more often.

Pharmacist VS Dentist
A pharmacist and a dentist.. whats their difference?
First and foremost the dentist deals with oral care while the pharmacist deals with drugs, dentist study 5 years, pharm' study 4 year, dentist this, pharmc' that.. bla-bla-bla
Skipping the irrelavant parts. Here is the REAL BIG HUMONGOUS difference between a pharmacist and a dentist. A fresh graduate pharmacist earns 2.7k excluding allowances. Upon finishing the 1+2 goverment shit, we would probably go out and most likely find a job that pays 4-5k. 20 years down the line, we, pharmacist probably might own one community pharmacy and have some investments here and there and IF we are good (lucky, smart, sociable, skilled, well connected, have good selling skills) we would be very pleased to know that we would draw quite a big sum of approximately 20k ++
You are probably smilling from ear to ear knowing this, but just read on to know more about our colleagues, the dentist.
Well, sure dentists have more to study since its a 5 year course, and naturally, their starting pay is higher than ours, which is about 2.8k without allowances (of course their allowances are more meaty than ours). But the amazing part is that after a dentist specializes, how much would you think they would earn? 20? 30?
NO, as a matter of fact, they earn 60k/month
HOW IN THE BLOODY HELL CAN A PHARMACIST EARN 60K?! of course we exclude the possibilities of discovering a new drug and registering a new patent coz its highly unlikely. You can also debate to say that several people with minimal education have rised to the top and earned millions, well, but face the fact - the general population do not belong to the group of "one in a billion" people.
So, cutting out all impposible options, whats left is only bank robbery that earns 60k a month.
But anyway, healthcare professionals should not be bothered about monetary gains, so lets continue practicing TDM calculations so we will be successful pharmacist in the future (who earn RM2700 a month)

Case study
-I stay in vista.
-I have block nose that causes severe headache most likely due to sinus inflammation due to reason unknown, could be dust, could be bacteria/viral or (low porbability) fungal infection.
-I started steroidal nasal spray few days ago
-Symptoms are better now
-Vista is known for fungal growth
-Corticosteroids reduce immune system
-Fungal infection of sinus cavity would almost always require surgical intervention
Question:
Would the benefit of continuing the nasal spray for prophylaxis outweigh the risk of fungal infection?

A totally STEWPEEEEED idea..
I love IMU, i love Bpharm.. totally, but i'm sorry coz i feel that E-pbl ('electronically-problematic bullshit lessons') is a serioously STEWPEEEED idea.. It just re-defines retardation.
I'm currently having my so-called e-pbl session now.. so you might ask- wadafark am i doing blogging at this time -- HERE'S THE FUKING ANSWER --> ITS FUKIN JAMMED !!
Good job everyone! make it compulsory for EVERY1 TO LOG IN AT THE SAME TIME.. all i do is press refresh continuously, coz if i wait for 1 minute between refreshes, i'd have to read thru 10 new posts.. So honestly, if the server cant handle 107p/s (posts per second) then dont make us sign in and post at the same time !
Ok.. i'd be signing off now.. the server is back online... for the time being...

Realization...
Reading the news brings me to a new realization.. Some parts of the world never changed since i wrote a blog post from 2 years ago - It's still retarded, the worst plan - I live in that part of the world. This realization makes me hope and wish that IMU's sloved Bpharm programmed is recognized by safer and less 'flamming' places in the world.
Today, kids playing with fire burn places down coz somewhere, someplace, the un-registered, un-copyrighted, un-rights-protected,un-patented A-word was used (Sorta reminds me about Nokia sueing Apple for infringing wifi patents, except that Nokia has a patent, while a word from the dictionary cant be patented).
Owhh... this place is so unsafe.. today its the A-word.. tomorrow might be the word 'Hi', day after tomorrow the word 'Bye'.. soon all words are taboo, then civilasation would start loosing 1 language after another. But perhaps this is the begining of human's evolution of retardation.. over time, all words become taboo or permanently patented to the extend that Humans begin degenerating their ability for verbal communication as fast as their mentality.. hence ushering in the Helen-Keller era or probably the era of psychic communication.

Before and now, the beautiful life in IMU
It seems like a blink of an eye since the first time i came into bpharm, but time flies so fast and i'm already in 3rd year.
I still remember the days of semester 3 and 4. It was a time of pain, depression and sadness. I was barely hanging by a string then, and my one and only outlet for releasing tension would be my blog. Coincidentally, i even found one of my posts being one of the top 3 results when the words "Bpharm IMU opinion" are being searched. Well, the post brings back the agonies from those days. And honestly, if i went back to sem 3 and not go thru sem 4 and 5, i would most likely be writting that again.
But today is not one of those days, today is one and a half years later or 3 semesters later. Today's me has survived the storm and came out a better man, and through that storm now i see bright rays from the sun shining thru the cloud.. i can now throughly say - I CAN SEEN THE LIGHT !
From the hardship and pain i was put through, i now realize it was all part of the essential socialization needed to create the best. And from all these pains, now i can announce to everyone that all this has given rise to a new sensation within me that burns so strongly for my profession and this course. This sensational feeling is is a never-before-felt-kinda-thing which i shall call: SLOVE (super-love). Once you have achieved a certain level of awareness necessary to feel the Slove, you would realize that you would never even need to have sex again!
For all aspiring pharmacist reading this:
I can honesly say from the bottom of my heart that Bpharm is the best course available (provided you have the balls it takes to pass sem 3 and 4 without going senile) and that the whole of b107 would welcome you into this paradise.
For all my coursemates:
I would just want to tell you all how fortunate I am to have you all go through this journey with me. Seeing every single person around me getting grades way-way higher than me motivates me to become like the rest of my batch.
I still rmb the last time when i rated sem 4. Since things have changed so much for me, Out of 5: my rating for Bpharm is now:
A perfect 5:
+ 1
Only now, am i throughly feeling the SLOVE !
