Another cause of global warming...

So we all know that global warming is like a serious issue in the world today. One of it's big contributors would b emmisions from petrol and diesel cars.

So lets look at vehicles.. we keep talking about hydrogen fuel cells and solar powered cars and blah-blah-blah, but heres the question... Why look so far? lets deal with matters using applicable methods.

Ok.. so lets look at cars and how it's been driven today.. ppl install superchargers and turbochargers costing a bomb and spend years in R&D to create faster and louder machines. For the not so rich ppl, they just have the habit of pressing the dam accelerator down to the floor like its some kind of.... whatever, u get the idea.

So lets look at the underlying causes for these retarded behaviours...

i) Chick factor.
Yes.. hot chicks and pretty girls cause global warming, not cause they are hot and they heat up the earth's atmosphere(quantity insufficient to cause significant direct heating effect) but because they stimulate the activity of man's second head. Hence in an attempt to impress, man have went through great lenghts to develope fast moving vehicles ie: Buggatti Veyron, Mercedes SLR - Super fast machines, Super thirsty fuel guzzlers.

Then there are also a few ppl who install huge looking exhausts into their Kancil or Proton Saga for uncomprehensible purposes. Think about it, rather than reducing exhaust backflow(something that big exhausts does to reduce performance loss), the weight of an aftermarket exhaust would probably lift the front wheels of these kinda cars airbourne.. So wats the point? And the thick soot coming out would probably kill any1 standing within close proximity...
Hence, SAY NO TO RETARDED OVERSIZED AND HUGE EXHAUST PIPES.

ii) Music

Think about it.. notice how your mood is affected by the song u are listening to !
I'll tell u from personal experience. Even i didnt notice this chronic change that occurs over a gradual period of time. For the pass few days, i was listening to slow piano pieces like Claudine and other slow songs like 'Way Back Into Love'... and after 1 week, i looked at my blog topics and OWH MY GAWD... was i emo?

So anyway... thats not my point, what im trying to say is.. find a friend, sit in their car, close your eyes, and listen to the change in engine sound as the mood of music played in the car is changed.
u'll notice that when soft music is played, there will be no rampant acceleration and over-revving, so all you hear is 'nguuuuuu~~~~~~'
Then turn on sumthing from Linkin Park or Lost Prophets and u'll notice the evil grin on the drivers face followed by loud cries produced by the 175 horses within the engine.... then u hear 'VROOOOOOM !!!!!'

In the process of unleashing this power within the engine...........................................
yea, u guessed it... Fuel Guzzling Syndrome comes in.

Conclusion
1. To all hot chicks out there, save the earth, save the environment... go for the guys with the slower, subtle, fuel economical cars (ie: sentra). Your decision will either encourage the deterioration of global warming or promote a greener earth.

2. Listen to Claudine and 'way back into love' in your car.

**ps: Lecturers should also take note as man of all walks of life can be transformed into a global warmer if affected by any of these 2 causes.

i hope im just sick..

Owh shit... even as i type this shit, my brain feels like the paracetamol tablet in the mortar that i crushed with my pestel..

Last few days seemed like a roller coaster in my head.. I wake up every alternate days with a splitting headache that makes me feel like a nuclear bomb just exploded in my brains.
Then i accumulate the last ounces of motivation and drag my lethargic body around campus..
Then i sleep in class till its 11.30, only to go down and look at the deapetizing food that further reduces my apetite from 0.5% down right to 0.0%...
And the whole day i feel totally moody and just owh-so-easily pissed off i could smash a chair into some1 who gives a frenly smile and says......"hello"

Arghh... no interesting blog posts from me for the mean time..
I hope im sick and not having sum fr-en-nemy add hormone pills into my drink... coz if i list down my condition.. it sure looks like a PM syndrome...

A tribute to Daniel Teoh; a friend, a Bpharmer, a Legend...

This post of mine is dedicated to Daniel Teoh, a Senior Bpharmer of B105 cohort who passed away in an unfortunate car accident on thursday 14 august 2008.

Even at this moment, i am still shocked and unable to fully accept the death of Daniel Teow.
I would admit that i do not know him extremely well and neither were we very close, but one thing for sure is that he was someone i would call... a friend.
As a matter of fact, he was actually amongst the first few seniors i actually got a chance to get to know personally. I've played a few rounds of dota with him.. and crap.. he is GOOOOD.. at that time, i sure did not know that he was a WCG - level player...

I really just feel that i might not have known him very well, but i do know for sure that this world wouldn't b the same again.. its kinda weird, u dont have to know some1 all your life, u dont have to be really close to some1, u dont even have to know some1 at all, but sometimes, when  some1, especially a good person, some1 unique in their own way, some1 who is somehow connected to you just passes on, the fact that u noe u wont be able to meet anytime soon just gives a kind of solemn feel.

Im really not good at words, but if you have the time, and if you really want to know who Daniel Teoh was and the memories he left behind then pls read this post
http://sharon.tabulas.com/2008/08/14/bye-bye           (link given by 1-ling)
i do not personally know the author, but i think that whatever she said was very meaningful..
it really touched me and i was really moved.

Life is just so fragile, and i hope that we can all live a life that is worthy and meaningful. Tho i might not have known Daniel all so well, i will personally say that he has left his mark on my life, changed the way i look at things and made me realize how important it is to be remembered for all our goodness.

All i will say now, is that Daniel Teoh was a good man, a great friend... he still is, he still will be..

For all he was, what he could be and all he has done, the memories of Daniel Teoh shall always live with us.

Daniel Teoh; A friend, A Fellow Bpharmer, A Legend,

... and then i felt hungry before i could start studying again.

.. so after posting a post on how i took images of aerosol particle movement, i had a small lil chat with an Mpharmer who was also gonna b sitting for a test related to drugs... drug synthesis (if im not mistaken)...
so after exhanging shit.. i thought.. ok.. i think chill a bit edi.. i shall start studying !!... but b4 that, lemme get some refreshments...

and so heres a list of my refreshments:

Lay's potato chips: overpriced, a lil too salty... not too bad overall

Bitter-sweet malta after a full serving of potato chips, drank from coke-glass to give a false illusion of drinking beer -- > PURE PLEASURE =)

ok.. i think i should get back to work now.. i hope i dont suddenly decide to talk to any1 on msn and then feel hungry and put up a blog post about wat i ate again..

~happy studying~

... and so this is what i tried out when i felt sienzetised.

Drug metab class test on monday..
i dunno how 2 describe how i feel, its not bored, its not tired, i think the closest word is sienz / no mood.

so i saw this aerosol deodorant cannister in my room.. and LOLed.
k.. this is what i did, i tried to take a photo of aerosol particulate movement !!! cool !..
succeded in 3 tries, giving you..  A PERFECT IMAGE  =)

heres the results:

Failed image no.1 - no background contrast.

Failed image no.2 : too much contrast. Take note the liquid droplet at the upper left section.. that means terkena my cam lens.. but its ok la, evaporates very quickly.

Final image : perfect contrast, croped to perfection...  =)

So anyway...happy studying for drug metab =)

**cough-cough... now i wonder how's my body gonna metabolise the high concentrations of deodorant spray i inhaled**

Signs and symptoms of a Bpharmer..

So here i am stoning in the e-lab (used to be cyber cafe) of IMU.. and i realised that Bpharmers suffer from this condition known as Bpharm-o-nism

Here are a few signs and symptoms of this condition:
1. Have round circles of dark discolouration under eyelids aka big eyebags / panda eyes
2. High tendency of being labeled 'Fuking Lanci'
3. Walk around with severe lack of motivation to lift up the foot to make the next step (lethargy)

4. Constantly complains about stress, tension, excess work and lack of life.

5. Topics of conversation only revolve around Drug metabolism, Natural products, portfolios, datelines and ... once in a while... JAV(applicable to guys staying in vista C and B only).

6. Often seen mumbling to themselves about certain chemical/drug reaction

So... if you fullfill at least 4 out of these 6 criterias... my dear condolences, you are suffering from terminal Bpharm-o-nism.. Pls seek stress management therapy.
~Cheers~

Blogspot the retard..

So you saw the post before this... what do you think? i think it is LOOOOOOOOOOOONG.

And so this is what happen.. in an attemp to make me feel/look/act like a fool... blogspot.com has played a practical joke on me...
Heres the story:

i woke up at about 9 or 9.30... and decided to make a more 'down to earth' entry for once.. it took me longer than i expected.. and about 1 hour later(no kiddin) i finally completed wat i wanted to write.. it wasn't exactly easy expressing yourself in words u noe??

So just before i clicked 'publish post'... i decided to just preview it and see if there was any fault so theres no 'potong stim' moments.. And well, all was ok, no typo... so i clicked back.. and WATAFARK !!!!???  all that i wrote was gone??!!

then i check drafts.. and it only saved like half of what i wrote.. so like a fool... i had to think of wat i wrote and re-write it again... so potong stim.. so pissed..

So anyway.. good job and congratz to  BLOGSPOT.COM.... mission accomplised... you pissed the shit outta me..

A day of victory, joy, celebration... and UNITY !

It was friday 08.08.08 - Our Pharm A's volleyball match against Pharm B.. and also the GRAND OPENING OF THE BEIJING OLYMPICS !! So anyway.. Pharm A male's match started at 8.00 with Mr. Lim Kean Ping representing B107 along with several other Mpharm peeps. The match was a spectacular + exciting + exhausting even for audience as we came out with a hundred different kinds of cheers and shouted 25 times every game... sometimes more, because we didn't know that our team did not get the point (hardly any of us know the rules of volleyball)

Finally, at 9.00pm, Pharm A emerged as the victor scoring 2-0... it was truely an amazing sight seing all my batchmates cheering so loudly.  The atmosphere was almost like we won an Olympics game.

**to Mr. LKP : I told you this before, but i'll say it again.. Doesnt matter if you've played 3 games or 10 games or 100 games, one thing i know for sure, you did 1 hell of a good job out there.. and you sure made the very fact that we are B107 students something to shout and cheer about.

So... celebration of our victory didnt last too long as every1 quickly dispersed and sprint up to the student lounge to watch the Olympics (including the man of the day.. LKP) The student lounge was packed full to the brim with about 40-50 ppl (20-30 of which consist of B107s). Every1 was in amazement and awe as they watched the olympics.. which was indeed magnificent, and wat JN terms "fantabulous". (too bad she herself didnt get to watch it.. awww)

Then after a while.. the boring part of the show started where the athletes from various countries paraded. But that was when the fun part of the night begun.. somehow, we decided to start playing pool, foos and darts..  we played and shouted like drunken sailors reaching shore the whole night long and probably made the other ppl in the student lounge look at us like 'satu macam'.

It was only after a while that me and LKP decided to breath some fresh air and grab a drink coz we tabole tahan the hot and stuffy condition inside that 40 pax packed oven.

Sitting outside the lounge, i could hear them shout and scream like damn barbarians.. But from that point of view.. i noticed something...

Things aren't the same as it was 1 year ago.
A year ago, we were strangers...
Right now, i'll say this from the bottom of my heart that i truely think we've become more like 1 big family.

Looking at so many ppl gathered together sharing joy with each other just gives me a warm sense of joy i cannot explain in words.
And honestly, 1 year ago, when we were newborn babies in this new world, i never expected nor anticipated us to be like how we are right here, right now, today.

For who and how we are today, i think every1 contributed their fair share, but 2 ppl deserves the most credit : PANG TSEN  and KEAN PING.
I'll sincely say that these 2 ppl have gone the extra mile to see an extra person turn up for any event. They are the people who brought 107 individuals(sorry if the digits aint right) who are strangers to one another into wat i would now call as the B107 FAMILY.. For all that and much-much more, i salute you both..

Finally, just a lil msg to all fellow B107 batchmates:
Life is a hard and difficult journey especially for all us, but to think that we're all carrying a very heavy burden on our backs, yet not forget to look around and take time to realise the little more beautiful aspects of life that make our days a little brighter, i think every1 of us has done a great job worth mentioning..
We've come a long way since the first time we've all met, so lets just finish this shit together and in 2 years to come.. lets all emerge as graduating BPharmers !!
and one fine day, not today, not tomorrow, but several years to come. We shall all be able to look back upon these days and tell the story of not just ourselves, but the people around us, and how each and every1 of them left their marks on our hearts...    =)

ANGRY vs EMO vs LANCI vs ...just plain sleepy

So.. im sure if you read the last few posts, you would know im taking this sadistic course known as none other than BPHARM.

We have all the shit in the world thrown at us just to ensure that we loose interest in our soon-to-be-if-we-dont-die-yet profession. Life is tough, but im trying my best to keep to my own word and pull through this...

Here's the problem.. in an attempt to live up to the expectations of my course, i've compromised lots of my sleeping time. Its not like i really love to sleep for a grand total of 4-5 hours everyday but i just have to compromise...
and when i go to uni being half asleep, here are the following statements that come along every word of 'hello'  :

i) PT : eh.. u very emo ah today?... u ok ah?

ii) MgR : eh.. why so moodless ah lately?

iii) Mich : you always also look like so angry waaaannn...

iv) ter' ren-ce : hey dude.. according to some frens of mine they said you're damn lanci mann.. but its ok dude.. hahahaha.. its cool k... hahahaha... so chill out mann..

So this is the sorta stuff ppl tell me when im in uni and im half asleep... takes me another half day to get back home.. be a lil more awake.. and to comprehend that i look like a zombie (thanks to Bpharm)..

So here's the take-home msg from this post:
I AM SLEEEEPPYYY !!!!!!!!!

Forget TURBO, NOS and SUPERCHARGERS !!

So here's a story of what happened to me ytd.
It was about 8pm when i came back from pc fair with ben ytd, and i was driving back to subang on the federal. So the right lane was quite smooth hence i changed laned and was driving at a constant 100kmph. all was nice and mood in the car was jolly.

Suddenly all hell broke loose when one b!tch of a thing driving a white wira just stoped for no apparent fu*king reason. The car behind the b!tch managed to stop in time but the 3 other cars behind were of a smaller gap and every other car after that had to press their brakes to the full end.. i knew this coz i could hear the multiple tyres screeching.

Immediately, ben shouted and called me to stoped... Moving at a speed of 80 or 90, i had just 100meters or less to come to FULL STOP.
thanks to fast reflex of both me and ben(not joking, not bragging), i pulled my gear all the way down to 1 and slammed the brakes, while ben pulled up my handbrakes and i moved my car a little to the left hence avoiding the car in front of me by a few inches.
It was seriously just a matter of inches !!

I am not kidding when i tell you that i almost crashed into a car in front of me..
and thankfully, there was no car behind me.

My car skidded, swerved and almost totally crashed.. im really glad and thankfull to everything.. the coincidence, the reaction, the luck... but not the noob driver who wants to speed with a 95" wira without knowing how 2 drive.

So.. after deep and long thought, i'd just say this.. forget the turbo, forget the nos, forget the turbochargers.. and forget about everything else that helps get ur car move from 0 - 100kmph in 3.5seconds..
If you have enough money.. invest in something that'll help slow your car from 100 - 0 kmph in 3.5 seconds instead.. it'll probably save your life one day !

PC FAIR..

So.. as you know.. 2-3 times a year, PIKOM organise wat is known as THE PIKOM PC FAIR.. !!
ok.. so this event is a great event that is aimed to allow the general public to inhale the thick and foul sweat smell of ppl from different ethnic races, sizes and attire..

Jokes aside.. i was there with bennete and we bought quite lotsa stuff there..

Things that i bought:
1. KingMax 2gb Super Stick  - RM25
2. KingMax 8gb micro SD  - RM100
3. Sonic Gear Earpump - RM45

Total - RM170 in 5 hours..

This is the thumbdrive i bought.. looks exactly like a piece of stick and is barely 2 mm thick... coolness..

This is a dinosaur looking thingy thats able to react to the environment.. Example: u put ur hand near it, it'll move towards ur hand.. put ur finger near the mouth, it'll automatically bite it.. uber cool... Would've bought it if there was a 95% discount..
This lil thing cost RM1000++
