(2 years after posting this posts.. many things have changed, please refer to this link for IMU of today: http://andrewlum.blogspot.com/2010/01/before-and-now-beautiful-life-in-imu.html)
So right now im in the middle of the most hectic week of probably the most hectic semester(that i've ever been thru). So i cant help but wander why is IMU treating ONLY BPharm students like they're shit meant to die in the most misserable way..
I mean, think about it..portfolio submision due on friday, extempo class test on friday, monday renal test, tuesday 2-3 reports to be submitted in 1 day, wednesday hospital attachment, thursday pharmaceutics class test, friday pharm analysis workshop... who the heck survives this?
If you wanna think positively :
IMU does this so as to create future pharmacist capable of enduring and handling all situations and possible scenarios that could be encountered in the future. By doing so... encreasing the rating for IMU-born pharmacist in the market hence increasing IMU's creadibility hence resulting in more students joining them in the future hence resulting in higher income output...
Now look at the real case scenario:
Once we graduate of IMU in (assuming we make it out in the minimum required time of 2.5 more years).. we would probably forget 50 - 80% of everything we've already learnt.. but thats ok.. coz we probably only need 5% of wat we're learning.. but on the other hand, we'd probably have health complications such as depression, insomnia, diabetes, caffein toxicity, and mayb even insanity.. hence resulting in a drop in Bpharm rating.
And then lets not forget to take into account the unhappy-students factor whereby we would instantly discourage any acquintance, fren, family member or newb at the interview room from taking up Bpharm coz its more of a suicide attempt than anything else.
Then we also have to take into account the fact that the course is so hard ppl might get kicked out or just die halfway in the middle of the course resulting in another further reduction of Bpharm rating hence reducing IMU's profit.
So all in all wat IMU is doing with the Bpharm curriculum is more like a suicide attempt to reduce Bpharm students from year-to-year hence resulting in a reduction in net profit from students.. if my statements are right, IMU created the Bpharm course just so it'll be shut down in a few years to come..
Heres sumthing that makes me a little curious...
B104 started with (if im not mistaken) approx 80 students.
B106 had about 100
B107 has 110
b108 has 140
Conclusion: The world today is retarded..
